Requirements To Stay On Campus
To live here at Student Housing, there are a couple of requirements:
- All residents must be enrolled in classes at Collin College to stay on campus.
- Residents must be enrolled in at least 12 credit hours for each semester in the Fall or Spring. For the Summer, residents must be enrolled in at least 3 credit hours per session.
- All residents must maintain at least a 2.0 GPA each semester to reside at Student Housing
- All residents must be at least 17 years of age or older
- All on-campus residents are required to purchase a meal plan with Collin College Cafeteria

Residents will have several payment options:
- Payment in Full: Residents will pay the full semester charge for rent and meal plan before they move into Student Housing. Prior to move-in, students may make Incremental online payments, but the full balance must be paid before move-in.
- Promissory Note Payment Plan (fall and spring terms only): A payment plan for tuition and housing charges for the semester will be available online July 9 – August 30. The payment plan requires a 50% down payment plus a $25 set up fee at the time of enrollment with 25% installments due September 12 and October 10. - Financial Aid: Residents with sufficient financial aid authorized on their student account to fund registration charges as well as rent and meal plan charges may defer payment, pending the posting of the authorized financial aid to their student accounts. Deferring payment pending financial aid awards is authorization for Collin to use the financial aid as payment for rent, meal plans, and other related housing charges prior to any remaining credit being issued as a refund to the student.
Meal Plan Information
All on-campus residents are required to purchase a meal plan with Collin College Cafeteria.
All on-campus residents are required to purchase a meal plan with Collin College Cafeteria with at least 12 meals a week. The meal plans will be a meal plan charge for the semester and are nonrefundable. For example, if a resident chooses the Meal Plan #1 option for $1575/semester, that will be how much they have to spend for the entire semester. As they spend their money buying meals throughout the semester, the balance will decrease. How long a resident's meal plan balance lasts will specifically be determined on how much they spend on each meal & how many meals they eat a week. However if a resident spends all of their money before the semester ends, they are able to put more money on their balance. Please note that meal plans are nonrefundable as it is a "use or lose it" system.
